A 13-Year-Old Minnesota Boy is Set to Graduate From College

A 13-year-old boy from Minnesota is set to graduate school...and by school I don't mean junior high.

Elliott Tanner is set to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota in physics and a minor in math.

Tanner's mom Michelle says he started reading and doing math at age 3 and only took two years to complete high school.

When he was only 9-years-old he began college at the University of Minnesota where he maintained a 3.78 GPA.

Tanner has also already been accepted into the University of Minnesota's Physics Ph.D. program.

He told NBC News that physics is one of his "favorite things to do" and his goal is to one day be a high-energy theoretical physicist then eventually a professor of physics.
