LAPD Graduates 55 New Police Officers

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A graduation ceremony was held today for 55 new Los Angeles Police Department officers.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore presided over the Friday morning gathering at the police academy in Elysian Park.

Of the graduates, 45 are male and 10 are female. Eight of the graduates are white, 41 are Hispanic, one is Black, two are Asian, and three are Filipino, according to the LAPD.

Among those attending was Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
