Russia has been suspended from the 2022 World Cup and other international soccer competitions.
- In a joint statement, FIFA and UEFA announced that Russian national teams would not be allowed to compete in the World Cup or any qualifying matches, or in July's European Championships.
- FIFA said the soccer world was "in full solidarity with all the people affected in Ukraine".
