Six Injured by Car That Crashed Through Alhambra Restaurant

ALHAMBRA (CNS) - Six people were injured today when a car crashed into an Alhambra restaurant.

The crash occurred about 1:25 p.m. at Chengdu Taste, at 828 W. Valley Blvd., according to the Alhambra Police Department.

Three people inside the restaurant were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, while three others were taken with minor injuries.

A preliminary investigation into the crash revealed the driver was making a left turn onto eastbound Valley Boulevard when he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes and drove through the front window of the restaurant, according to police. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.

Valley Boulevard between Atlantic Boulevard and Seventh Street was closed as authorities investigated the crash.
