LOS ANGELES (CNS)- Police today are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision in South Los Angeles.
Officers were called at 10:03 p.m. Wednesday to Broadway and 54th Street, just east of the Harbor (110) Freeway, where a pedestrian was struck and killed by a white pickup truck, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Im said.
The driver fled northbound on Broadway, Im said.
No further vehicle or suspect information was available, police said. The victim had not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
