BURBANK (CNS) - Avelo Airlines announced today it is expanding service from its Burbank hub this fall, with new nonstop flights to Monterey in Northern California, Fort Collins-Loveland, Colorado, and Provo and St. George in Utah.

Avelo will be the only scheduled carrier to fly nonstop between Hollywood Burbank Airport and Monterey Regional Airport, with one-way fares on the route starting at $39, according to the airline.

Avelo will also be the only airline to fly direct between Burbank and St. George Regional Airport, Provo Airport and the Ft. Collins-Loveland Northern Colorado Regional Airport, according to the low-cost carrier. One-way fares on those routes start at $49.

“Since our launch, we've been on a mission to bring low fares, more choice and greater convenience in air travel to Angelenos,'' said Avelo Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy. “These new routes will provide our LA customers with unmatched affordability and direct access to four beautiful unserved destinations across the western U.S.''

Service begins Sept. 17 to Provo, Sept. 30 to Monterey, Oct. 6 to Fort Collins-Loveland, and Oct. 7 to St. George.

The Houston-based airline's first flight under the Avelo name was on April 28 from Burbank to Santa Rosa.

With the addition of the four routes to its network, Avelo's expanded fall and winter schedule will offer flights between Burbank and 12 destinations across the western U.S., including Arcata-Eureka, Redding and Santa Rosa in California; Eugene, Medford and Redmond-Bend, Oregon; Pasco, Washington; and Salt Lake City-Ogden, Utah.

Later this year, Avelo, which operates a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, will begin service to and from its first East Coast base in Southern Connecticut at New Haven Airport.
