Man Arrested For Making False Bomb Threat Aboard Bus in Santa Ana

SANTA ANA (CNS) - A man was arrested today after allegedly stating that he had a bomb while riding on an Orange County Transit Authority bus in Santa Ana.

The incident occurred about 8 a.m. at First and Flower streets, where the bus stopped and was evacuated, said Sgt. Ryan Anderson of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The area was declared safe about 9:30 a.m. after investigators determined there was no bomb aboard the bus, Anderson said.

The man was arrested on suspicion of making a false bomb threat, Anderson said. His name was not immediately released.
