Authorities Seek Help to Locate 50-Year-Old Man

HAWAIIAN GARDENS (CNS) - A 50-year-old man diagnosed with bipolar disorder was missing this morning after last being seen near his home in Hawaiian Gardens.

Armando Chavez was last seen about 8 a.m. Monday in the 21700 block of Elaine Avenue, between Norwalk and Pioneer boulevards, near Carson Street.

Chavez is Hispanic, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 280 pounds with brown eyes, a bald head and a thick horseshoe mustache. He also wears glasses and has the names “Armando,'' “Jacob,'' “Joseph,'' “Samuel,'' ‘Isaac'' and “Abraham'' tattooed on his left forearm.

Chavez has also been diagnosed with cancer, diabetes and depression.
