Plumber Does Good For Texas Storm Victims

Plumber Andrew Mitchell, along with his newly apprenticed brother-in-law, Isiah, drove 22 hours from New Jersey to Houston, but not before loading their truck with tools and materials.

They first went to Mitchell’s sister-in-law’s home, but by the time they arrived, they knew that thousands of people were desperate to get a plumber to fix busted pipes and other problems arising from the frigid weather.

Facebook was full of posts from residents begging for help after being told that the wait for a plumber could be as long as 4 weeks. So Mitchell began helping other residents with repairs. Mitchell helped up to 10 households a day, often working from 7am to 2am. And what’s more, while local plumbers were charging as much as $2,000 just to show up, Mitchell only charged whatever the homeowner said they could afford.
