One Killed, One Wounded in Bellflower Shooting

BELLFLOWER (CNS) - One man was killed and another man injured this morning in a shooting in Bellflower.

A deputy traveling in the 15300 block of Pioneer Boulevard in Norwalk about 12:25 a.m. was flagged down by someone in a white vehicle, and the deputy found two men suffering from gunshot wounds inside, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

It was later determined by detectives the men were shot in the 15300 block of Woodruff Place, near Somerset Boulevard, in Bellflower and driven to the location in Norwalk, the department said.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital with stable vital signs.

The ages and names of the victims were not disclosed.

A motive for the shooting and suspect descriptions were not immediately available.
