One Hurt in Crash Involving LAFD Vehicle in Chatsworth Area

CHATSWORTH (CNS) - A pedestrian was injured today when a Los Angeles Fire Department Emergency Medical Services SUV collided with two parked pickup trucks in the Chatsworth area today, authorities said.

The crash was reported about 11 a.m. near Lassen Street and Winnetka Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The LAFD EMS vehicle was not on a call at the time of the crash, according to the LAFD.

A 54-year-old man who was standing on the other side of the parked vehicles suffered injuries described as not life-threatening and was taken to a hospital, the LAFD reported. It was unclear how he was injured, but he was not hit by the EMS vehicle, according to the LAFD.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
