Little Change to Average Southland Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent today for the second consecutive day after being unchanged the two previous days.

The average price of $3.187 is six-tenths of a cent more than a week ago and 7.2 cents higher than one month ago but 43.9 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 42.8 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.172, one day after decreasing two-tenths of a cent. It is seven-tenths of a cent more than a week ago and 7.6 cents higher than one month ago, but 43 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 37.3 cents since the start of the year.
