Mountain Lion Found Under Monrovia Home, Removed by Wildlife Personnel

MONROVIA (CNS) - Wildlife personnel today captured a mountain lion that was hiding in the crawl space of a Monrovia home.

The puma was removed from the residence in the 700 block of West Colorado Boulevard about 8 a.m., said Monrovia police Lt. Daniel Verna.

Police were called to the scene about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday and notified wildlife personnel, Verna said.

A Monrovia police robotic device was deployed to assist wildlife personnel in locating the animal safely, Verna said.

The mountain lion was tranquilized and removed by wildlife personnel, and was taken to a facility to be treated for an injury possibly caused by another animal, Verna said.
