AstraZeneca Hopes to Produce 2 Billion Doses of Coronavirus Vaccine by Fall

UK-based pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca says it's looking to produce two billion doses of coronavirus vaccine by the fall.

The company is hoping to start delivering the vaccine to the UK and US by September and to the rest of the world early next year.

To get it ready on time, the company is has decided to begin manufacturing the doses while clinical trials are still going on.

CEO Pascal Soriot says that based on the research they've done so far, they are very hopeful that the vaccine will work.
