MLB Considers Returning To Action With No Fans In Arizona

Could the MLB really return to empty stadiums in one location? Well that's what the league is currently considering.

Major League Baseball and the players association, are discussing several options to permit and start the MLB season. One of the options includes playing in empty stadiums, in one city. This option is looking at playing all games in Arizona, specifically the Phoenix area.

Major League Baseball released the following statement Tuesday morning:

"MLB has been actively considering numerous contingency plans that would allow play to commence once the public health situation has improved to the point that it is safe to do so. While we have discussed the idea of staging games at one location as one potential option, we have not settled on that option or developed a detailed plan."

Arizona is the host to ten spring training facilities, as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks' home of Chase Field. This would allow the MLB to put players up in hotel rooms and have them be in one centralized location.

All ideas being considered are still in the very early stages of being planned.
