Man On Probation Arrested Again On Suspicion Of Vehicle Theft

WEST COVINA (CNS) - A 29-year-old man on probation for vehicle theft was arrested today on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle after allegedly trying to sell stolen property to undercover detectives in West Covina.

Josue Oliva, of Pomona, met with the detectives to allegedly sell them stolen property in West Covina, according to the Covina Police Department. Details about the stolen property were not immediately available.

Oliva was taken into custody about 9 a.m., and officers determined that he was in possession of a stolen Kia vehicle, stolen identification cards and burglary tools, according to police and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Inmate Information Center.

He is being held on $50,000 bail, according to the Inmate Information Center.

Oliva is scheduled to appear at the West Covina Courthouse on Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
