Southland Gas Prices Still Going Down

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell six-tenths of a cent today to $3.627, the 52nd consecutive decrease.

The average price has dropped 50.2 cents during the streak, including one-tenth of a cent on Thursday, to its lowest amount since Aug. 30, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.7 cents less than one week ago and 24.6 cents lower than one month ago, but 20.9 cents more than one year ago.

The streak of decreases is the longest since a 53-day streak from Oct. 24-Dec. 15, 2018.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 53rd consecutive day, falling two-tenths of a cent to $3.545, its lowest amount since Aug. 26. It has dropped 54.3 cents during the streak, including four-tenths of a cent on Thursday. It is 2.7 cents less than one week ago and 26 cents lower than one month ago, but 16.9 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County streak of decreases is the longest since a 75-day streak from Oct. 9-Dec. 22, 2012.
