That Didn't Last Long: Son of El Chapo Released After Cops Outgunned

For a brief time, one of El Chapo's sons was in custody. It all started when Mexican National Guard and Army troops were on patrol near the Mexican city of Culiacan. The troops were fired on from a house, which they stormed, capturing Ovidio Guzman. Culiacan is a major hub of El Chapo's Sinaloa cartel. The authorities soon found themselves outnumbered and outgunned by cartel forces, so they released Ovidio. He has reportedly been exerting a lot of influence over the cartel since El Chapo was arrested and turned over to U.S. authorities. Dad is currently serving a life sentence for a number of charges.
