Southland Gas Prices Spike Again

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 1.1 cents today to $3.661, its highest on a Labor Day since 2014.

It was the fourth straight day that the average price increased by at least 1 cent. It rose 1.9 cents Sunday, 4.2 cents Saturday and 1.6 cents Friday. The average price had decreased 26 out of 27 days through last Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 9 cents more than one week ago, 3.3 cents less than one month ago and two-tenths of a cent more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose a half-cent to $3.631, also its highest on Labor Day since 2014. It is 8.6 cents more than one week ago, 2.9 cents less than one month ago, and 2.7 cents more than one year ago.
