Trump Gives Mexico One Week To 'Immediately Stop ALL Illegal Immigration'

On Friday, President Donald Trump doubled-down on his threat to shut down the Mexico and United States border. But this time, he noted that Mexico better step up to end the illegal immigration, or he will.

Earlier this week, Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan also claimed that the United States had finally reached it's "breaking point" in the immigration system. According to Customs and Border Protection, more people are expected to be arrested at the border this month than any other month since 2008.

Trump, in Florida on Friday afternoon, said he could close the border to trade for a "long time" and insisted the US had run out of detention space for undocumented immigrants.

"We have run out of space. We can't hold people anywhere. Mexico can stop it so easily," Trump said.
