USC Looking to Revoke Degrees from Grads Caught in Admissions Scandal

While current and potential students caught up in the college admissions scandal are getting kicked out of USC or are being denied admission, the ones who have already graduated could get their degrees revoked.

Eight different alums are at risk of being stripped of their degree for gaining "admission by fraud."

All the cases of students fraudulently gaining admission to USC reportedly had the help of Rick Singer and were disguised as athletic recruits.

One of the alums came clean to USC, saying his application was all lies and that he also cheated on his ACT test. He received a scholarship to play football even though he didn't meet the academic requirements for athletes. USC doesn’t plan to take action against him because he “self-reported,” TMZ reports.

A source also told TMZ that one student has been suicidal in the weeks after the scandal broke- her parents being one of those who enlisted Singer's help to get her admitted into USC.

USC is working with the FBI and other schools involved in the scam, hiring an outside auditing agency to resolve the cases in two to three weeks.
