Being a flight attendant sounds like a super cool job sometimes. You're always traveling, you've probably been to more places than most, and your frequent flying points are probably off the charts! Well in a new story from The New York Post, a true horror story comes from a Taiwanese airline after a flight attendant was forced to wipe an overweight passenger's butt.
EVA Air, which only employs a female cabin crew, had a poor flight attendant that was succumbed to assisting this perv this past weekend. The passenger, who was in a wheelchair, demanded that he need assistance going to the restroom.
“I felt that as a flight attendant, removing a passenger’s underwear was beyond the scope of my responsibilities. I told him we couldn’t help him, but he started yelling. He told me to go in there immediately and threatened to relieve himself on the floor,” the flight attendant told a news conference.
To make the matters worse, during this whole process the passenger, who also weighed 440 pounds, wouldn't allow the flight attendants to close the door and refused to the leave the bathroom unless they wiped his backside for him as well.
The attendants refused, but eventually carried on with the disgusting task so he would leave the room. Things took a quick turn for the worse when the passenger started moaning in pleasure as the chief attendant sadly wiped him down. This sicko even had the guts to say they weren't doing a good job and tried forcing them to wipe him again.
The union asked EVA to sue the passenger and urged the airline to establish a new set of procedures to prevent this from ever happening again. For instance, making a new rule that insures all disabled passengers travel with a caretaker.
The airline released a statement after this incident, that flight attendants are allowed to refuse requests they consider inappropriate. Also, if needed they will offer assistance to sue any offensive passengers they may encounter on flights.
