Dog Found Hiding from Mendocino Complex Fire Has Found a New Home

The Mendocino Complex fire grew to become the largest in California's history, scorching hundreds of thousands of acres.

One little guy impacted by the flames is a German shepherd who was found by a group of firefighters from Draper, Utah.

The dog, later named Mendo after Mendocino county, was huddled under a tree and was taken to animal care services for a check up.

One of Mendo's rescuers, a Draper City firefighter named Patrick, wanted to adopt him.

Mendo got a clean bill of health and was driven to Reno over the weekend to meet up with his new family!
