Gov. Brown Declares State of Emergency For Wildfires

The fires continue to rage on throughout the state of California forcing Governor Jerry Brown to declare an emergency. 

Fires are affecting residents in Northen, Central and Southern California as the dry weather continues to hamper the efforts of firefighters. 

More than 3,300 firefighters are working the fire, aided by 16 helicopters. 

One firefighter was killed July 14, and six others have been injured.

Legendary NBC weatherman Fritz Coleman stopped by the studio today to talk about the devastating weather we're experiencing.
