A man is jailed today after he called 911 to report he may have killed his girlfriend.

ANAHEIM (CNS) - A man is jailed today after he called 911 to report he may have killed his girlfriend. The suspect called police around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday to say his girlfriend was hurt and he thought he killed her, according to Sgt. Daron Wyatt with the Anaheim Police Department.

When officers arrived in the 800 block of South Cardiff Street, they found the suspect and he told them the gas might be on inside the home, said Wyatt. The gas was turned off, but officers did find the victim's body in a bedroom, he said.

The suspect was taken into custody, Wyatt said. The names of the suspect and victim were not released, he said. The cause of death is under investigation.
