OC Surfing Museum Pushes "Endless Summer" License Plates

California has vanity license plates for people in agriculture, folks who support the arts and those who want to protect the coast.  So, why not plates for surfers?  The Surfing Heritage and Culture Center in San Clemente is pushing a proposed vanity license plate that features the "Endless Summer" movie logo showing surfers carrying surfboards on the beach as a giant sun sets.

But, to get the Department of Motor Vehicles to go for the idea, at least 7,500 people must pre-register for the plates.  That can be done at surfplate.com.
