CHINO HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Authorities in Southern California have arrested a 19-year-old man they say threatened to carry out a shooting at his former high school.

San Bernardino County sheriff's officials say deputies were dispatched Monday afternoon to Ruben S. Ayala High following a report that an ex-student had made threats to "shoot up the school."

The school in Chino Hills east of Los Angeles was closed at the time. After an investigation, deputies arrested Nicholas Ceballos at his nearby home on suspicion of criminal threats. It wasn't known Tuesday if Ceballos has an attorney.

Officials didn't say how or where the threats were made. Authorities say they concluded that there are no additional threats related to the investigation.
