SoCal Councilman, Teacher Faces Backlash Over Anti-Military Statements

Authorities are looking for threats against a Southern California man who disparaged the military.  A video posted to Facebook reportedly features Pico Rivera City Councilman and El Rancho High teacher Gregory Salcido.  While berating a student who wore clothing with the word "Marines" on it, Salcido referred to members of the military as unintelligent and the "lowest of the low."

Salcido is not seen in the video, but Superintendent Karling Auilera-Fort confirms that the voice is his.  Authorities say there have been no death threats so far, but a series of "mean comments" have been reported.  The "San Gabriel Valley Tribune" reports that the Facebook video has been viewed about six-million times since it was posted on Friday.
