Police officers had to go to a house in Ukiah on Christmas Eve after two relatives got into a fight over weed, resulting in a piece of one man's ear being bitten off.

The 35-year-old victim had "fresh blood running down his face" and was taken right away to a hospital for treatment.

Suspect Samuel Paul Galindo had been drinking with his relative when they got into an argument about the pot.

After biting part of the victim's ear off, Galindo then grabbed "a cylindrical object and held it in his fist and tried to punch the victim."

Galindo continued to chase him and threaten his life. The victim tried to hide in a car but Galindo repeatedly punched the window.

He was arrested on scene without incident, according to the police report. Galindo was charged with Mayem, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Criminal Threats, and Violating Parole.

So, how was your Christmas?
