Thomas Fire Containment Growing

Firefighters continue to get a handle on the largest wildfire in California history.  Containment of the Thomas Fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties was at 88 percent as of late yesterday.  CAL Fire officials say they remain on target of having the fire fully contained by January 7th.

The flames have charred over 281,000 acres since the fire first broke out on December 4th near Santa Paula.  Firefighters say a lack of strong winds is helping to keep the fire from growing.
