Drone Flies Over 49ers And Raiders Games, Pilot Arrested

A drone pilot has been arrested after he used his machine to drop leaflets over two NFL games in the Bay Area this weekend.

At first, when the the drone was first spotted yesterday over the 49ers game at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, fans believed the drone was dropping free items into the crowd.  Instead, they found what police describe were propaganda leaflets that talked about free speech and his beliefs that television stations were corrupt.

The drone was used again later that afternoon during the Raiders game at the Oakland Coliseum. That's when the pilot was discovered and arrested by Oakland police.

The unidentified man faces charges that include several FAA violations and local laws that prohibit drone flights near stadiums and airports.
