Beyonce is 2017's Highest Paid Female Musician

Beyonce may have lost the MTV VMA to Taylor Swift back in 2009 but she's winning the financial race hand over fist.

Forbes has released their annual report of the Worlds Highest Paid Women in Music for 2017 and Beyonce tops the list with her pretaxed earnings at $105 million. The release of Lemonade and her Formation World Tour included in the time period is what put her over the top of talents such as Adele, Taylor Swift, and Celine Dion. Beyonce's Formation tour alone grossed over $250 million.

Trailing behind in second place was Adele with earnings of $69 million, and in third came Taylor Swift with $44 million. Swift coming in third is notable because she essentially isolated herself from the public eye, staying away from endorsements but her latest album, Reputation, was released just before the cutoff for the yearlong time period.
