15 Whole Foods Markets in OC, LA and Palm Desert Hacked

A nationwide data breach has hit 15 Southern California Whole Foods stores.

The market chain first announced the data breach in late September and after an investigation the company revealed dozens of stores in 30 states were hit.

The company says the credit card systems in the in-house restaurants and taprooms were hit and those who only shopped on Amazon or in the grocery store are safe.

“The software copied payment card information — which could have included payment card account number, card expiration date, internal verification code, and cardholder name — of customers who used a payment card at these venues.”
