PACIFIC PALISADES (CNS) - The Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades will reopen today after a telephoned threat was received, but a search by a bomb squad turned up nothing dangerous.

“We received a threatening call about the Getty Villa,'' said Julie Jaskol, a representative of the museum at 17985 Pacific Coast Highway.

The nature of the threat, which prompted the closure of the Getty Villa Wednesday, was not specified.

“The LAPD has concluded a thorough search of the Getty Villa without finding anything,'' Jaskol said at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. “The Villa will resume normal operations (Thursday).''

The villa is one of two locations of the J. Paul Getty Museum, and features collections of Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities.
