Los Angeles County plans to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by two prominent prosecutors for $700,000, according to documents and officials.
Deputy district attorneys Beth Silverman and Tannaz Mokayef filed the case in 2015 that accused the head of the D.A.'s Major Crimes Division of making inappropriate lewd remarks and sexually suggestive actions at the prosecutors' office and at off-hours functions.
A memo from the County Counsel's office provided no detail on the reason for settling the case.
The District Attorney's Office said Friday it had no comment.
The Major Crimes supervisor named in the lawsuit, Gary Hearnsberger, has retired, officials said.
Silverman successfully prosecuted Lonnie Franklin, Jr., known as the 'Grim Sleeper' serial killer, and was recently assigned to the murder of famed hairdresser Fabio Sementilli, who was stabbed to death in his home in Woodland Hills earlier this year.
