Melissa McCarthy brought her impression of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer back to Studio 8H complete with a QVC-esque pitch for Ivanka Trump's products.
After a week filled with news like Trump's travel ban being overturned, Ivanka's products being dropped from Nordstrom, to the non-existent 'Bowling Green Massacre,' the SNL writing staff probably relished the opportunity to draw on such a deep bench of material.
However, one man watching may not enjoy seeing McCarthy make her return to 30 Rock. Last time Spicer was satirized on SNL, the Post reported that Trump didn't appreciate the sketch as it had reportedly made Spicer look 'weak' being played by a woman. For his part, Spicer said he enjoyed last week's sketch, but thought McCarthy could 'dial it back.'
SNL on the other hand, is likely very happy, as they've been enjoying some of the biggest ratings in 22 years.
