Disney announces that the new Star Wars-themed parks will open in 2019

Disney's CEO, Bob Iger, announced Tuesday that the new Star Wars-themed parks at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will be opening in 2019.

The 14-acre parks aim to transport guests "to a never-before-seen planet - a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space - where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life," the company said.

One attraction will allow guests to board the Millenium Falcon and pilot it through space and fire the cannons. another attraction will put visitors in the middle of a battle between Resistance fighters and stormtroopers.

We have to wait a few years for Star Wars but Disney World is opening Pandora: World of Avatar on may 27th of this year.
