AAA Makes Disneyland Affordable Again for SoCal Residents

In what has been a whirlwind of price hikes and purchasable features at Disneyland, AAA has swooped in to rescue those Southern California residents looking to escape for a day or three.

If you’re an Auto Club member and happen to reside in the beautiful beachside Southern California, you can now purchase a Disneyland ticket package that brings the cost to as little as $60 per day. Much like the SoCal resident deal offered by the theme park, AAA is offering a deep discount on three-day, weekday only tickets that are valid for about three more months, so act fast! It should also be noted that each of the Auto Club’s choices for ticket purchases are $20 less than Disney’s.

The cheapest option offered is a three-day, one-park-per-day ticket that costs $179. A $60 upgrade gets you either Genie+, Disney’s new add-on service that allows guests to bypass the stand-by line on certain attractions, or the park hopper option, unlocking access to Disney California Adventure Park in a single day.

For perspective on how much of a deal this is, the new Genie+ feature adds $20 to your daily ticket and the park-hopper option is an added $60 per day, per ticket.

Those members looking to add Genie+ and the park-hopper feature to their package can pay $299, which brings the average cost to about $100 per day (still a fantastic deal!).

Tickets can be used on weekdays only through May 26th, 2022 – just in time to see the return of three nighttime spectaculars: Disneyland Forever fireworks (only viewable on Fridays), World of Color and the Main Street Electrical Parade. All three shows are coming back on April 22nd, an announcement made by Disney on Tuesday.

Southern California residents with ZIP codes from 900000 to 93599 are eligible for the deal in addition to Northern Baja California residents within ZIP codes 21000 to 22999.

Disneyland Resort theme parks now use a reservation system, so the Auto Club recommends members check the calendar for availability prior to making their purchases.

Residents outside the are and/or those who prefer weekend visits to the parks need not be deterred. The Auto Club also offers other deals on Disneyland tickets, including multi-day options that are as cheap as about $70 per day.
