Little Change To Average Southland Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $4.40 after increasing by 1.3 cents over the previous three days.  

The average price is 1.3 cents more than one week ago, 4.2 cents higher than one month ago and $1.179 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price has risen $1.168 since the start of the year.  

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of cent to $4.37 after increasing by 2.1 cents over the previous three days, including 1 cent on Friday, it is the largest increase since July 3.  

The Orange County average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago, 4.2 cents higher than one month ago and $1.168 greater than one year ago. It has risen $1.143 since the start of the year.
