Police Seek Hit-And-Run Motorist in Pedestrian Death

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities today sought public help to find the hit-and-run motorist responsible for fatally injuring a pedestrian near the Mid-City area of Los Angeles.

The woman was injured about 8 p.m. Wednesday as she was crossing Washington Boulevard at Gramercy Place in a marked crosswalk, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Paramedics took the woman to a hospital, where she died. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.

According to police, the woman was hit by a silver sedan westbound on Washington Boulevard. No further description of the vehicle was available.
