Angel Games Postponed Due To Minnesota Twins' Positive Coronavirus Tests

ANAHEIM (CNS) - The Los Angeles Angels have scheduled an optional workout for their players today at Angel Stadium with their planned game against the Minnesota Twins postponed by Major League Baseball to allow for continued coronavirus testing and contact tracing involving members of the Twins organization.

The postponement of Saturday's game was announced at 4:46 p.m. Some fans were already in the stadium for the planned 6:07 p.m. game. The postponement of Sunday's game was announced about an hour later.

Outfielder Kyle Garlick and a second player along with a staff member have tested positive since the team arrived in Anaheim, Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli said Saturday.

Sunday's game was the Twins' last scheduled appearance at Angel Stadium this season. There was no immediate announcement about rescheduling the postponed games. One option is playing two doubleheaders when the Angels face the Twins in Minneapolis July 22-25.
