Freeway Crash Sparks Brush Fire in Eagle Rock Area; Woman Injured

EAGLE ROCK (CNS) - A woman was injured today when a vehicle crashed and sparked a brush fire on the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway in the Eagle Rock area.

The crash was reported about 9 a.m. near Argus Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.

The woman was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, and firefighters extinguished the fire in about 40 minutes, the LAFD reported.

Following the crash, the eastbound 134 Freeway was closed at the nearby Glendale (2) Freeway to limit traffic from entering the area while crews worked to clear debris from the roadway. About 10:15 a.m., two eastbound lanes were reopened, the CHP reported.
