Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of the most high-profile Democrats in Congress - but that hasn't stopped more than a dozen people from challenging for her seat.
Currently, five Democrats and eight Republicans are running for AOC's 14th district of New York, which includes Queens and the Bronx. That list includes longtime CNBC anchor Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, who announced her campaign last week.
On an AOC campaign poster shared on Twitter about her campaign event, Ms. Caruso-Cabrera added the caption: “and celebrating the 1 year anniversary of Amazon NOT opening a headquarters, and a failure to launch 25,000 jobs for Queens!”
AOC won her seat in 2018 after a shocking primary upset of incumbent Joe Crowley. She's recently been on the campaign trail stumping for Bernie Sanders.
