VAN NUYS (CNS) - A man was run over by a pickup truck early today in the parking lot of a CVS store in Van Nuys and died at a hospital.
Police said the victim, who was possibly homeless, was lying down in the parking lot of the store in the 15200 block of Sherman Way, near Sepulveda Boulevard, when he was run over by a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado about 2 a.m. The CVS store is open 24 hours.
The driver, a 41-year-old man, remained at the scene and there was no sign that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim's name and age were not immediately available.
