CSU Chico Professor Explains The Rise Of Megafires

Why do we have so many fires?

What causes these fires to grow into megafires?

Is there a way to stop them before they happen?

With fires raging across the state, people are asking all of these questions.

Professor Don Hankins has spent his life studying fires and he has the answers to all of these questions.

"Don Hankins is a Professor of Geography and Planning at California State University, Chico. He has a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology and a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of California, Davis.
