LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today to its highest amount since Aug. 6, 2015, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.885.
The average price has risen 23 consecutive days, increasing 21.7 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 4 cents more than one week ago, 21.5 cents higher than one month ago and 80.9 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 73.5 cents since the start of the year.
A 21-day streak of increases totaling 22.5 cents that pushed the Orange County average price to its highest amount since Aug. 7, 2015, ended Wednesday when it was unchanged, remaining at $3.836. It is 2.9 cents more than one week ago, 22.4 cents higher than one month ago and 80.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 72 cents since the start of the year.
