Helicopter Makes Hard Landing in Angeles National Forest

ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST (CNS) - Three men were injured today when a helicopter made a hard landing in the Angeles National Forest in Los Angeles County near the San Bernardino County border.

Paramedics sent to the 24500 block of North Angeles Crest Highway about 10:45 a.m. took the men to a hospital, said Los Angeles County fire Inspector Randall Wright. There were conflicting reports on their conditions, but no life-threatening injuries were reported.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Hughes 369E helicopter, tail number N618SG, rolled over when the pilot was trying to land.

The Daily News reported that was attempting to land at the Mountain High Resort and is registered to Helicopters Unlimited LLC, out of La Crescenta.
