Los Angeles County Gas Price Rises for Fifth Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 1.2 cents today to $3.29, the fifth consecutive daily increase.

The average price has risen 4.3 cents over the past five days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 4.2 cents more than one week ago, 19.6 cents higher than one month ago and 44.8 cents greater than one year ago.

The average price has risen 14 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose 1.3 cents Tuesday to $3.256, the sixth consecutive daily increase. It has risen 4.8 cents over the past six days, including four-tenths of a cent on Monday.

The Orange County average price is 4.6 cents more than one week ago, 21.3 cents higher than one month ago and 42.7 cents greater than one year ago.

The average price has risen 14 cents since the start of the year.
