Did some Mars watchers find scientifically-supported evidence of extraterrestrial life in the form of a cannonball? UFO Hunter Scott C. Waring of UFO Sightings Daily thinks it’s possible.
An oddly-shaped object was found on camera by the Mars Curiosity rover. Amid dust and normal Martian rubble was a bluish-grey ball sitting on miles of miles of red. Alien hunters claim it’s a cannonball, launched during an ancient Martian war, Yahoo! Reports.
"This is 100% evidence of a war on Mars," Waring told the Tech Times.
NASA, on the other hand, says they’re crazy.
The “cannonball” spotted by Curiosity has fueled another conspiracy. Supporters say there’s no way that object could exist on Mars unless some intelligent civilization was responsible for its creation. NASA still claims that it’s a bunch of b.s., noting that it’s not the first time the agency has seen these spheres on Mars.
In fact, they’re so common that NASA has a nickname for them: “blueberries.”
According to the space agency, the round objects are the result of a natural phenomenon called “concretion,” in which minerals gather and harden inside the water-soaked rock, usually in “bubble-like shapes.” They are more resistant to erosion than other rocks on the planet, and when that material erodes away, the odd colored, cannonball-like objects are left behind.
If you’re one of those conspiracy theorists that believe that NASA is hiding evidence of aliens from us, you most likely won’t buy the agency’s reasoning. A handful of UFO hunters are almost positive that the spheres are really cannonballs that were fired onto the planet from space, and that they are hardcore evidence of an ancient alien war that left Mars in the condition it is in today.
